Mothers Day

Today on Mothers Day, I don't want to celebrate me. I don't want to celebrate being a "great mom". To me that's not what it's about. To me Mothers Day is about you, my daughter, for you are the reason I am a Mom in the first place. Today I celebrate you because you show me everyday how I am a great mom. I don't need to be told just today. You show me every single day. You tell me how beautiful I am. You tell me how smart I am. You tell me how much you love/like me. You tell me how proud you are. Why do I need one day when you show me everyday. You're the reason I get to have the name mom. You're the reason I have a love I've never known before. You're the reason I have grown into who I am. I am so grateful to have you, my love, as my daughter. The day you were born was the best day of my life, and my days keep getting better because I have you. So today is your day, not mine. I want to thank you for being my daughter. You're more amazing than I ever could of dreamed of. You're my heart, my soul, and I love you so much more than you understand.
